It was just announced last night during the live broadcast of Sony‘s State of Play, but Arise: A Simple Story already has a release date. As revealed on its PlayStation Store list, Spanish developer Piccolo Studio will launch the game on PlayStation 4 on December 3.
It is available for pre-order at this time for a price of £ 15.99, and is packaged with the official soundtrack of the game. The music is made by David García, who is best known for his work on the excellent Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and RiME. If you have not already done so, see the charming advance of the announcement through this link.
This is an experience that definitely interests us, but do you also like it? Tell us your own story in the comments below.
Have you ever taken a long and hard look at your life and had doubts about some pieces of the puzzle? Is this who you want to be? Is this what you want to remember in 30 years from now? We did exactly that and decided that we needed to take a leap of faith and recover the spark that we lost along the way. The next thing we know is that we are quitting our jobs. Thus was born a small company that we call Piccolo Studio and emerged with it.
A Deeply Personal Story
Reflecting on our own lives directly inspired our game, so it is natural that it involves self-reflection. This is a deeply personal project for us, a part of our own journey as we pursue our dream. The story we tell in Arise is important to us and the fact that we have years of diverse life experiences (not very different from yours, I imagine) helped a lot. We rely on them to tell a story that we hope you touch the sensitive fiber. We really can’t wait for you to play it.
