Cyberpunk 2077 finally received a new update for Xbox Series X|S

After a long wait and many months in which CD Projekt RED had to invest trying to fix their game, after a disastrous release, today the studio showed the versions of Cyberpunk 2077 for the new generation. We can see the game running on Xbox consoles Series X|S with the latest improvements already implemented.

The update, which was released today, brings several improvements for gamers, such as the introduction of two graphical modes in Xbox Series X:

  • Performance Mode – 60FPS and dynamic 4K.
  • Ray Tracing Mode – Photorealistic rendering of shadows and reflections, plus 30FPS gameplay with dynamic 4K.

For Xbox Series S, there is no graphics mode selection. The game runs at 30FPS and 1440p with dynamic resolution scaling by default. Loading times are faster for everyone.

In addition to the long-awaited graphical improvements, Cyberpunk 2077 received other free news to move its gameplay, which is now available for all platforms, such as renting and customizing apartments, with some objects offering bonuses for the character; More customization options for V; More responsive combat AI; Improvements in crowd reactions; Improved vehicle steering; Visually improved traffic movement as well as collision reactions to make it look more natural.

Cyberpunk 2077 also received several other performance and stability optimizations, tweaks to the gameplay and economy system, open world, map usage, new interactions for relationships, and an overhauled Channel system. The list of all improvements, fixes, and additions is quite extensive, so check out the Patch Notes on the game’s official website.

Xbox achievements will automatically appear in the new version, hassle-free thanks to the Smart Delivery feature. The technology also allows for seamless save transfer. You can instantly continue your journey through Night City by switching platforms. Players who own the Xbox One version can now upgrade to their Xbox Series X|S for free.

Finally, it is now possible to test Cyberpunk 2077 before deciding whether to buy it or not. The trial will be available until the 15th of March and allows you to play up to five free hours of the game. The Free Trial is also now open, and you can download it here.
