Esports: novelties and prospective cybersport competitions 2022

Gameplay and computer games are becoming an increasingly relevant and developed field today. And it is not only the number of people who play that is increasing but also the number of disciplines. As for the fans of the cyberworld, predictions show an increase of up to 300 million fans by 2022.

Valorant

The game only came out a year ago, but in that time it has managed to gain popularity among those who do esport bet Vulkan Bet. For example, some professional players from CS:GO switched to Valorant, which also added to the game’s recognition.

In less than a year the tournaments drew about $5 million – the largest prize pool was for the Valorant Champions Tour 2021: Reykjavik. At this tournament, eSports players raffled off $600,000 and the winners took home a third of that amount.

Hearthstone

It’s a free-to-play competitive card game from Blizzard that came to the cyberworld in 2014. Blizzard is set to increase the number of World Championship participants to 16, each competing for a prize pool of $500,000 throughout 2022.

The Grandmasters tournaments will be one way to qualify for the World Championship. But if you haven’t gotten to those tournaments yet, you can try your luck in the new tournament “Battlefields: The Legends of the Lobby!”.

Dota 2

DOTA was in fact a pioneer of the genre and its successor DOTA 2 is still developing and improving to this day. ESL One Stockholm 2022 will take place from May 12-22 in Stockholm.

The first game day of ESL One Stockholm 2022 Dota 2 has already concluded in Sweden with a prize pool of $500,000. The first game day of the majors in Stockholm drew 370,000 spectators and Dota 2 Vulkan Bets fans in spades.

Earlier in the tournament, teams from China, who were unable to leave the country due to quarantine restrictions, didn’t make it to the tournament. Also Mind Games will not be able to take part in the tournament, as 3 players from the team have not received visas.

League of Legends: Wild Rift

This is a true 5-on-5 MOBA in the League of Legends universe that will raise the bar for the genre and the entire gaming industry on mobile devices. Gamers can expect familiar characters and an accessible level of difficulty.

But the game won’t be casual. Riot Games is trying to bring in as much tactics and strategies as possible.

Riot Games wants to take mobile MOBAs to a whole new level. The first cybersport season of Wild Rift has already begun. Eight regional leagues are part of it. An official international tournament called Wild Rift Icons will take place in Europe this summer. The top 24 teams will compete in it, from which the best team will win. The finals will be held in Barcelona, where the teams will compete for a prize pool of $336,000 and two spots in the Wild Rift World Championship.
