GWENT: The Witcher Card Game | iOS Announcement Trailer
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and has been since 2018. The game is playable in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game and most importantly, it is derived from the novels by which the entire franchise is based on. The card game of the same name is featured and well-known to all readers of The Witcher novel series, written by Andrzej Sapkowski.
The game is a free turn-based card game in which two opponents collide on a card that takes three rounds in total. Each player must play a card per turn of his deck that has at least 25 cards, and each deck also belongs to a particular faction, each with its own style of play. Each of these factions of cards has its “leader” cards with individual abilities.
Unlike Hearthstone and some similar card games, Gwent does not use mana as a resource and everything is based solely on the advantage and ability of the card. The game also features constantly updated new content and different modes, such as a player, arena mode, etc. In addition, the current version of the game is available for cross-games between PCs and console versions, which will include the mobile version of iOS as well. However, cross game between consoles is not compatible and therefore will not be available between consoles and mobile devices. Only PC and consoles or PC and mobile versions are compatible for cross game.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, the release date of the mobile version of iOS is set for October 29, and it is announced that the title will come with certain juicy features. For the most powerful iOS devices, this game will have a built-in 4K function, crossover game and a set of reinvented controls adapted for the touch screen. The challenging Gwent tournament will also be held on September 14 and 15, with a prize pool of $ 100K and CD Project has promised more information about the iOS version during the live broadcast on its Twitch channel.
