Death Stranding Game Review, release Date
The Death Stranding is an action game set in an open world that includes multiplayer features. Kojima compared the genre with the way his previous game Metal Gear, now considered a stealth game, was called an action game during its release because it was not considered that the stealth genre existed.
It is the first game of director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after his separation from Konami in 2015. It was announced at E3 2016 and released on November 8, 2019.
Actors Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker, and Lindsay Wagner provided motion capture, 3D scans, and vocal performances. At the same time, film directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn also performed. The title references the phenomenon of cetacean strandings, of which the game presents themes.
GAMEPLAY:
According to Kojima, one of the key aspects of the advance of the announcement was the idea of a connection between life and death. He explained one of the main themes through a short story of Kōbō Abe; The first tool created by humans was a stick, which meant protection by putting a distance between oneself and the bad things, and the second was a rope, used to secure the things that one considers important.
Kojima compared the main “tools” in action games (punches, shots, and kicks) with sticks, and in Death Stranding, he wants people to communicate through the string-like game. While the title refers to the phenomenon of cetacean stranding, “strand” is an alternative term for shore and also means chains and connections.

Death stranding game-play TRAILER :
Now, enjoy the latest Death Stranding trailer.
The trailer begins with a reassuring bloody Mikkelsen singing to a baby before seeing a picture of the family of our hero Sam Bridges. Then we cut Sam (Norman Reedus) on a motorcycle in a lush mountainous region, surrounded by crows. Then there is Lindsey Wagner as president, clearly ill, with Sam stating that “the United States is over.
It just gets weirder from there. The Death Stranding trailer suggests that Sam’s role as a messenger will include gadgets such as stairs and climbing anchors to explore the world and avoid enemies that chase him with large electrified spears before going to the old school punches them.
The idea of time travel was also explored again, with what appeared to be a section of World War I, although with black substance and visions of old and young versions of Lindsey Wagner’s character.
Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the player’s goal is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including history and game-play, are linked by the theme of “Strand” or connection. Like Sam Porter Bridges, you will try to close the divisions in society and, in doing so, create new ties or “Strands” with other players around the world. Through your experience in the game, I hope you understand the true importance of forging connections with others.
Death Stranding was at Gamescom 2019 in a big way this year, with the famous creative author Hideo Kojima showing his latest baby with a new trailer game show and a series of ads that, to be honest, leave us with more questions than answers about the next PS4 game. How does Mama’s newly presented character play in all those theories of the Death Stranding plot? Is the rough game around the edges an indication that the release date of Death Stranding could be delayed? Are there any tracks loaded inside the trailer that the game will reach PS5?
