WoW Shadowlands Update 9.1 Patch Notes

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Update 9.1 is released, and here is the full list of changes and fixes added in this patch. WoW Shadowlands Patch 9.1, Chains of Rule, breaks the eight-month content drought that followed the launch of World of Warcraft: Shadowland last year, adding a new zone, raid, mega-dungeon, and more. 

There are various class tweaks, Torghast and the Maw have been redesigned, and there’s even a new Shards of Domination system that Raiders can use (though not without a few grumbling). Everything is new here with World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Update 9.1.

CLASS CHANGES IN SHADOWLANDS NEW UPDATE 9.1

  • DEATH KNIGHT
    • Anti-Magic Zone duration reduced to 8 seconds (was 10 seconds) and now fades when it absorbs 150% of the caster’s health.
    • Fixed an issue where Anti-Magic Zone damage reduction was removed earlier than intended when two Death Knights cast Anti-Magic Zone.

      • The damage of all spells and abilities has been increased by 6%.
    • frost
      • Ice Chains now has a magic highlight in the action bar when the death knight has 20 stacks of Cold Heart (talent).
    • Unholy
      • Fixed an issue where the Phearamones (rune carving power) haste bonus was being applied twice to the Death Knight’s Dead Ghoul.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented the summoning of the dead (line) from being carried out if festering wounds were burst from a fatal blow.
  • GHOST HUNTER
    • Ripping Soul (Talent) now increases leech by 10% (was 5%) and an additional 20% (was 25%) while Metamorphosis is active.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented The Hunt (Night Fairy ability) from hitting cloaked enemies in its path.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented Imprisonment from being used on targets immune to charm effects.
    • devastation
      • Demon Bite damage increased by 15%.
      • Demon Blades (Talent) damage increased by 15%.
      • Chaos Blast damage increased by 15%.
      • Annihilation damage increased by 15%.
      • Chaos Unleashed (Talent) now increases the damage of your next Fel Rush by 500% (was 600%).
      • Netherwalk (Talent) duration increased to 6 seconds (was 5 seconds).
      • Desperate Instincts (Talent) now trigger Blur with 50% reduced duration and 50% reduced cooldown when falling below 35% health.
      • Unnatural malice (conduction) now increases The Hunt’s damage over time (Night Fairy ability) (initial damage to primary target has been increased).
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Relentless Onslaught’s second strike (lead) from triggering the cycle of hatred (talent) and its anger restitution.
  • DRUID
    • Mature Instincts (Leadership) cooldown increased by 50% at all ranks.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented Adaptive Swarm (Necrolord ability) from spreading if the druid died while the ability was active.
    • Fixed an issue where Adaptive Swarm was incorrectly affecting initial regrowth healing.
    • Fixed an issue where Starfall and Convoke the Spirits could target creatures under the Turn Evil crowd control effect.

      • New Moon (Talent) now has a recharge time of 20 seconds (up from 25 seconds).
      • New moon and crescent damage increased by 33%.
      • Solstice (Talent) now drops falling stars 250% more often (up from 300%).
      • Stellar Drift (Talent) has been redesigned – Starfall damage has been increased by 50% and allows you to cast while moving while Starfall is active, but it has a 12-second cooldown.
      • The free Starfall from Oneth’s Clear Vision (Rune Carving Power) ignores the cooldown of Starfall from Stellar Drift (Talent).
      • The Balance of All Things (Runic Carver Power) now grants a 24% increased critical strike chance (was 40%) and a 3% per second decrease (was 8% per second).
    • Feral
      • Fixed an issue where Skull Slash could interrupt targets that were under the intervention effect.
      • Fixed an issue where Apex Predator (Rune Carving Power) would refund the wrong amount of energy when casting Savage Bite while Soul of the Forest (Talent) was selected.
    • Guardian
      • Ursine Adept’s damage reduction now only applies to bear-form druids.
      • Fixed an issue that resulted in Guardian Druid’s Ironfur rarely outlasting its full duration.
      • Fixed an issue where the bleeding from Rage Ribbon (Runic Carving Power) benefited twice from increased damage effects on the target.
    • Restoration
      • Fixed an issue that resulted in Balance Affinity (Talent) not increasing the range of Nourish (Talent).
      • Fixed an issue where Regrowth could not consume clear casting while the druid was under the effect of an innervation cast on another player.
  • HUNTER
    • Death Chakram (Necrolord ability) can now properly jump on targets that are not directly in front of the hunter.

      • Raptor Strike damage increased by 15%.
      • Kill Order damage increased by 15%.
      • Mongoose Bite (Talent) damage increased by 15%.
      • Flanking Strike (Talent) damage increased by 15%.
      • Wildfire bomb no longer hits targets very high in the air.
    • Pets
      • Classic Pterrordax Pets and Mists of Pandaria Python Pets are now bigger.
      • Mammoth family
        • The trample is now instantaneous (was 6 seconds channel).
      • Pterrordax family
        • New ability: updraft – your pet flaps its powerful wings, slowing the rate of fall of itself and the hunter for 30 seconds.
  • MAGIC
    • Fixed an issue that prevented Shifting Power (Night Fae ability) from reducing the cooldown of Alter Time and Spellsteal while Kleptomania was talented.
    • Fire
      • Flame Strike damage reduced by 10%.
      • Flamepot (Talent) damage reduced by 10%.
      • Kindling (Talent) cooldown reduction for Combustion has been reduced to 1 second (was 1.5 seconds).
      • Infernal Cascade (line) Fire damage bonus reduced by 20%.
      • Fixed an issue where Phoenix Flames would not deal damage if the spell was hit while the mage was out of sight of the target.
      • Fixed an issue that caused Triune Ward (rune carving power) to reduce the effectiveness of Blazing Barrier when used by Blazing Soul.
      • Fixed an issue that allowed Ignite to spread to targets that couldn’t be hit by spells, such as B. Rogues under the effect of Cape of Shadows.
    • frost
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Triune Ward (rune carving power) from applying all 3 barriers after using Cold Snap to reset the Ice Barrier’s cooldown.
  • MONK
    • Fallen Order (Venthyr ability) now has its cooldown reset when an encounter ends.
    • Firming Brew will now have its cooldown reset when an encounter for Windrunner and Mistweaver Monks ends.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented Bone Dust Brew (Necrolord ability) damage and healing from being critically hit.
    • Brewmaster
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Weapons of Order (Kyrian ability) from stacking when multiple Brewmaster Monks were present.
    • Mistweaver
      • Tiger Palm damage increased by 10%.
      • Blackout Kick damage increased by 10%.
      • “Tread of the Rising Sun” damage increased by 10%.
      • Whirling Crane Kick damage increased by 20%.
      • Enveloping Mist mana cost reduced to 5.6% of base mana (was 6%).
      • Resurrection (Rank 2) is now learned at level 56 – Resurrection now triggers a gust of mist on every target healed.
      • Revive healing reduced by 10%.
      • The soothing Mists channel will no longer be interrupted by Mana Tea or Zen Focus Tea.
      • Radiant Fog (Pipe) now properly affects Chi-Ji, the Red Crane’s Smoke Blast.
      • Denial of Damage (Conduction) now properly increases healing from Cast out damage when used on an ally.
      • Fixed an issue that caused Enveloping Mists’ healing bonus to decrease twice as much.
      • Fixed an issue where the healing from Morning Tear (Runic Carving Power) was not benefiting from Mist Wrap (Talent).
      • Fixed an issue where the damage increase from Touch of Death did not increase the healing of Ancient Teachings of the Monastery (Runic Carving Power).
      • Fixed an issue where Monks summoned by Fallen Order (Venthyr Skill) could sometimes not cast Enveloping Mists.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Thunder Focus Tea from increasing the healing of Tear of the Morning (Runic Carving Power) Enveloping Mists on allies with Renewing Mists.
    • Wind hiker
      • Fixed an issue that prevented bone marrow hops (pipe) from increasing Bonedust Brew (Necrolord ability) damage from Storm, Earth and Fire, and Xuen the white tiger.
      • Fixed an issue that caused queued damage to cast out to cancel the spinning crane kick.
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Keefer’s Skyward Reach (Runic Carving Power) from increasing the critical strike chance of Storm, Earth, and Fire imagery.
  • PALADIN
    • Blessing of Winter from Blessing of Seasons (Night Fairy ability) can now be applied to multiple targets at once.
    • Fixed an issue where paladin auras would be removed when the paladin swapped specializations.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented the Aura of Retribution from activating when a Holy Priest’s Spirit of Redemption occurred. The Aura of Retribution is correctly activated when a Holy Priest enters the Spirit of Redemption and the priest is not wearing X’anshi, Return of Archbishop Benedictus.
    • Holy
      • Flash of Light healing increased by 20%.
      • Light Infusion consumed by Holy Light now causes Holy Light to generate 1 Holy Power (was 30% additional healing).
      • All skill damage reduced by 8%.
      • Ashen Hollow (Venthyr ability) damage reduced by an additional 10%.
      • Hammer of Wrath damage reduced by an additional 10%.
      • Judgment damage reduced by an additional 10%.
      • Crusader Strike mana cost increased to 11% (was 9%) of base mana.
      • Might of the Crusader (Talent) reduces the cooldown of Holy Shock by 1 second (was 1.5 seconds).
      • Sunwell Inflorescence (Runicarver Power) now gives Holy Light a 30% chance to generate 2 Holy Power when consuming Light Infusion.
      • Fixed an issue that increased Sacred Discrimination (Venthyr Pipe) damage to Holy Paladins.
    • protection
      • Fixed an issue that prevented the Righteous Protector (Talent) cooldown reduction from working with Divine Intent (Talent) and Glowing Light when the Paladin was using the Queen’s Glyph.
      • Fixed an issue where Royal Decree’s Word of Glory (Conduit) was consuming Shining Light and Divine Purpose (Talent).
  • PRIEST
    • Clear Mind (lead) effectiveness reduced by 25%.
    • discipline
      • Spirit Armor (Talent) cooldown increased to 90 seconds (was 60 seconds).
      • Fixed an issue that prevented “Hold On” (General Draven Soulbind) from increasing the absorption of Spirit Shell.
      • Fixed an issue where Schisma’s damage increase (Talent) would not affect the first Damage Event of a Penalty in the queue.
      • Fixed an issue where Power Word: Barrier’s damage reduction was removed earlier than intended when two Discipline Priests cast Power Word: Barrier.
    • Holy
      • The Symbol of Hope has been redesigned – Increases the morale of party or raid members within 40 yards. They each recover 60 seconds of cooldown on an important defence ability and regain 18% of their missing mana over 5 seconds.
    • shadow
      • Shadow Word: Pain damage increased by 25%.
      • Vampiric Touch damage increased by 25%.
      • Devouring Plague damage reduced by 18%.
      • Shadowflame Prism (Runic Carving Power) Shadowflame Rift damage reduced by 16%.
      • Talbadar’s Stratagem (Rune Carving Power) Mind Blast damage increase decreased by 8%.
      • Dissonant Echoes (Conduction) now grant 20% increased Void Bolt damage (up from 35%).
      • Fixed an issue that prevented Death and Madness (Talent) from granting Madness and resetting the cooldown of Shadow Word: Death if Shadow Word: Death was cast while the target is dying.
  • Villain
    • Feint duration increased to 6 seconds (was 5 seconds).
    • Serrated Bone Spike (Necrolord) bleeding now properly benefits from critical strike chance.
    • Camouflaged in Shadows (Line) shield is now 50% …
