A few Android Games Worth Downloading in 2021 so far

During these uncertain and frankly alarming times, it’s crucial we stay indoors and keep ourselves entertained. It isn’t easy when it’s for weeks on end, though, is it? Thankfully, we’re all in it together at least.

Gaming is obviously the number one go-to option for us gamers, which is hard to rival in terms of entertainment. The variety of games on offer these days means we can find ourselves immersed in a wide variety of creations throughout any given day. Whereas, for example, there’s only so much television you can watch. Console gaming is the most popular, with games like PUBG and Fortnite drumming up a huge fan base. And, then you have mobile gaming which has a wide variety of options.

Mobile phone gaming is the focus of this particular piece, though, largely down to its surge in popularity in recent times. So, with that in mind, here are a few Android games worth downloading in 2020 so far. Hopefully at least one of them can help stave off the boredom during your lockdown.

Battle Chasers: Night War

An award-winning JRPG, Battle Chasers: Night War has it all. It’s incredibly fun as you take down the endless array of bosses, explore all the various dungeons and come into contact with plenty of surprises as you make your way through the overworld. The map is incredibly dense too, meaning you can find yourself exploring for hours on end as you upgrade your team’s magical jewellery, armour and weapons. This is certainly no PUBG or the like, but it’s worth playing still. Will you help Gully find her long lost father Aramus?

Death Road to Canada

Yes, another zombie apocalypse game, but honestly, it’s a cracker. The aim of the game is to get to the relative safety of Canada with your squad of interesting characters. On your journey, you can loot for supplies, explore your surroundings, and make sure you stay healthy and keep the squad’s morale high. Everything you see in the game is randomly generated, which makes every experience a unique one. The controls aren’t the easiest, but once you get to grips with them, you’ll enjoy this one.

MapleStory

Maplestory is a free-to-play MMORPG where epic adventures, action and good friends await you. The game has a unique aesthetic and creative expression on the players. Players defeat monsters and unlock hyper skills as they level up while traveling the world of Maple to develop their character’s unique skills. Gametaco provides the best leveling guide in MapleStory.

Evoland 2

The first Evoland would have been a worthy inclusion, but the second instalment is probably the better of the two. A unique action-adventure game, this highly amusing creation is one of the best games around. It’s funny, the combat is brilliantly done in it, there are lots of easter eggs to find, and there’s many quirky little references to classic games of the past throughout it too. If you like art form video games, then this is the one for you.

JYDGE

This shooter is hard to ignore, really. Playing as a cybernetic enforcement officer called JYDGE (think RoboCop), your job is to fight various crimes, by confiscating illegal cash, fight criminal gangs and adding to your accessories as you progress throughout the game. As you advance further, each level presents a different challenge. You can’t really go wrong with this game.

Dandara

A superb platform game, you play as Dandara as you look to carry out vast explorations to prepare you for the trials and tribulations ahead. Desperate to prevent the world’s collapse, Dandara is all about survival and fighting off the challenges that come your way. There’s also a free expansion which offers a new boss, different areas and power-ups. Not bad at all.
