All Info About The International 2022 Dota 2 Tournament

The International 2022 Dota 2 Competition, or The International 11 (TI11), has been confirmed to be held in Singapore in October.

The Playoffs are scheduled to be held from October 20 to 23, while The Finals will be held from October 29 to 30, 2022.

Structure of The International 2022 of Dota 2

First, there will be a qualifying phase from October 8 to 12 to gradually form the groups for the next round. Once that first filter is done, a group stage will follow from 15 to 18. At this point, only a total of 20 teams would be in contention, which will compete to reach the main event.

Qualifiers will be organized from all the qualifiers, played from October 20 to 23 at SunTec Singapore as a regular bracket and serve as a preliminary to the finals. Once only a few survivors are left, the finals will be held on October 29 and 30, in which they will have the Aegis of Champions as their prize.

For the match’s location, The Playoffs of the Dota 2 tournament will be held at the Suntec Convention Center, while The Finals will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The announcement that Singapore hosted The International 11 was made in May 2022.

This was revealed from a tweet from Valve via the official Dota2 Twitter account @DOTA2, as quoted on Monday (23/5/2022). “Singapore. October 2022. 

The Aegis of Champions awaits,” wrote Valve.

In the teaser, Valve only displayed snippets of images and sounds from the previous The International and visuals from Singapore.

Citing The Verge, this event in Singapore is the first time this world-class esports competition has been held in a Southeast Asian country.

  • 12 teams that made it through the Dota Pro Circuit
  • 6 teams from regional qualifiers; one team each from North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, and Southeast Asia
  • 2 teams that went through the Wild Card
• Group stage: October 15 – October 18, 2022
  • 20 teams are divided into two groups, 10 teams in each
  • The worst 4 teams are eliminated.
• Main Stage:  October 20 – October 23, 2022 & October 29 – October 30, 2022

Price of Dota 2 Battle Pass 2022

Unlike today, the pricing for Dota 2 Battle Pass 2022 has not been revealed, with the starting price ranging between $9.99 and $44.99. Things might be different this year, as people always expect a boost in the Ti11 prize pool when buying a bundle.

During The International 10, 25% of all Battle Pass sales went directly to the prize fund, which ended up giving away over $40,018,195.
