Borderlands 3 Update Patch Notes

2K Games Review: Borderlands 3

After a seven-year hiatus, Borderlands 3, the first sequel to the franchise, came out on September 13 and sold more than 5 million copies of the game in just five days. According to the game’s publisher, the renowned 2K Games, its sales for Microsoft Windows in those first five days are the company’s highest sales record to date. Online sources also estimate that about 70% of the game’s purchases come from digital distribution and that this makes the total revenue of the game franchise exceed $1 billion.

The release date of Borderlands 3 was September 13, and in just a few days, the title appeared widely on the web. Some have highly praised the game, others have expressed their unsatisfied expectations, but in general, judging by the last days since its launch, this game has chosen to be the most popular of the three series entries. The series began with the first installation in 2009, which was followed freely by the sequel three years later, and now, ten years after the first and six after the second, the third entry is eagerly awaited.

This third installment of the franchise also marks the highest percentage of digital sales for 2K for a cross-platform title, with the game available on Google Stadia, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Borderlands 3 reviews that appeared before launch or before In those five days were mixed, and most popular web platforms despised the game for not bringing many innovations.

However, this third title was praised by the true fans of the game precisely for not changing its game mode in the slightest and only with the new content … and weapons, many new weapons.

Borderlands 3

According to 2K, Borderlands 3 sales have set multiple other record milestones for the first five-day period of its release. As the company states, this third entry sold 50% more copies than Borderlands 2 in 2012 in the first five days. The company has also given the public a glimpse of its books. It has shown that the entire franchise has now generated over $1 billion in Net Bookings revenue, becoming the second gaming franchise in the history of 2K to achieve this.

In addition to the financial aspect, the release date of Borderlands 3 has seen the game occupy the most-watched place of play on Twitch and has since remained within the five most viewed games. And finally, this third entry has produced more than 14 million hours of content on Twitch, more than 50% of what the previous entry did in seven years. According to David Ismail, the president of 2K:

“The incredibly successful launch of Borderlands 3 results from the hard work and long-standing partnership between Gearbox Software and 2K. We are immensely grateful to everyone who played a role in making the Borderlands series the global phenomenon of pop culture that It is today, including hundreds of Gearbox developers and many who have made this the work of their lives. We also want to thank the Borderlands community. Mayhem does not happen on its own, and its passion for the series is what we drive to make each game an incredible

As before, this is not just a simple linear FPS, and the game features a pretty driven narrative, with Borderlands 3 characters as colorful as ever. Not to spoil anything, this game is still a social MMO experience and has no problems in how it integrates its history with its fun and multiplayer game. The initial plot remains part of the ongoing general story encompassing the entire franchise.

The antagonists of the story are the Calypso twins. Both have mermaid powers, although the mermaids cannot be masculine and govern a cult called Children of the Vault, abbreviated as VOC, throughout the game’s progress. The dark-haired man is called Troy, and his twin is called Tyreen. For our money, they are based on Greek mythology or love fruit-flavored ice lollies.

A fragment in the trailer shows a weakened Lilith without any of her Siren tattoos crawling away from the Calypso Twins, with Troy carrying Siren-like tattoos on her arm. A theory about the history of Borderlands 3 revolves around Troy and Tyreen stealing the powers of the sirens of the world.

The story leans to start in Pandora before releasing your squad on several planets. As the preview shows some previous versions of characters such as Tiny Tina and Aurelia, it is safe to say that a significant time step separates Borderlands 2 events from the next sequel.

While we still have to learn seriously what the story of Borderlands 3 will entail, we know that the next Borderlands 2 DLC will act as a bridge between the two games. To that end, we bet to get some clues soon enough.

Thanks to the Mayhem Mask and the trailer, we know some of the Borderlands 3 characters. Check out the list in the link above.

While handsome Jack is in the lead, please don’t take him too seriously: Pitchford took the stage at the Gearbox PAX East show to explain that he’s still dead. Pitchford included it because, in his words, “we are morons.” On the positive side, that is an older Tiny Tina that you can see in the trailer, and it is confirmed that Tiny Tina will play a combat role alongside the Vault Hunters in the next game. But, when it comes to bosses, an intriguing Morse code hidden within the game’s new dedicated Twitch channel causes Destroyer to return to Borderlands 3.

However, all these characters have in common that they are wonderfully vibrant and quirky. It is something Gearbox appreciates, as the studio has deepened a lot to create a Borderlands 3 cosplay guide before E3 that is full of high-resolution images. So, if you are looking to start your cosplay before Borderlands 3 comes out, you must be ready.

As mentioned, the overall graphics are greatly improved. This affects the game in FPS games, like this one, to a large extent since visual cues are of the utmost importance. The animations and the game run a little faster; everything is smoother and clearer. The animations and effects of the weapon are much clearer to read and understand, which is the essential part; in an intuitive environment like this, visual cues are all you get. In addition, other mechanics such as running, jumping, and moving in general look and feel much more precise and improved.

Borderlands 3 looks like the previous games in the series: you will shoot several people and beasts with ridiculous Borderlands 3 weapons while working to make them, even more er, stupid. You will be caught while looking at the snowball of damage statistics and trying to collect as many weapons as possible; in fact, Randy Pitchford has confirmed that there are more than one billion weapons in Borderlands 3.

You can see our own Borderlands 3 gameplay in the video above and get an idea of what the game will look like in the gallery below. In terms of game additions, there will be incursions into Borderlands 3, of which we will discover more in E3. The Borderlands 3 loot instance system will also be optional. In other words, you can choose to exit the system that Gearbox has designed to prevent your team members from pinching their illegally earned earnings. The mantle and slip are also new to the game.

Borderlands 3 has been based on its progression system with Guardian Ranks, which will offer new skills and masks by completing game-related challenges. It will also have a Borderlands 3 ping system, as you’ll find it in Apex Legends or Battleborn, to alert your teammates about loot, enemies, and search targets. And, speaking of Battleborn, Borderlands 3 “would not be as good as it is now” without him.
