iOS 13.3/iPadOS 13.3 developer Beta 2 release
Apple today released the second round of beta testing for iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13.3 and watchOS 6.1.1. Developers participating in the test project can download the latest version via the Apple Developer Center or update it via the Beta version of the OTA. The Public Beta version is usually available in a few days, and can be downloaded from the Apple Beta Software Program website.
The first round of beta testing for iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13.3 and watchOS 6.1.1 was launched on November 5th, mainly to fix the kill process. In the second beta of iOS 13.3, users are allowed to support NFC, USB and Lightning port security keys in Safari and associated technologies using the WebAuthn standard. Compatibility does not extend to all devices with wireless devices, but Lightning security keys should work on all devices.
Foreign media AppleInsider and Apple itself strongly recommend that users do not install the Beta operating system on major devices or “mission critical” hardware, because in addition to other potential problems, there may be data loss.
Testers should install the Beta on a secondary or non-essential device and ensure that important data is backed up prior to the update.
The new update is available for developers as an over-the-air update as well as through Apple Developer Center.
