ARK 2 is the latest survival game from developer studio Wildcard. The successor’s release to ARK: Survival Evolved should be in 2022.

When ARK 2 is released? 

The sequel to ARK: Survival Evolved, released in 2015, will be released in 2022. This was announced by the developer and publisher Studio Wildcard at the world premiere of the “ARK 2” announcement trailer during the game awards on December 14, 2020.

However, there is speculation that the release could be delayed as there has been no new information since the announcement in December 2020 (as of March 28, 2022). During the life cycle before ARK: Survival Evolved, there were frequent shifts in the course of DLCs like Genesis 2.

What platforms will ARK 2 be released on? What about PS4/PS5?

Is ARK 2 coming to PS4 and PS5? ARK 2 is a console exclusive for Xbox Series X|S and PC. A release for PS4, PS5, or Xbox One has not yet been announced.

Microsoft announced that ARK 2 would be released on consoles exclusively for Xbox Series X|S in a detailed statement on Xbox.com.

Is it possible for Ark “Game Pass” to be released?

Will ARK 2 be included in Game Pass? Upon release, it is unknown if ARK 2 will be included in Game Pass on Xbox and PC.

However, speculation exists that due to the console exclusive Xbox release, it will be part of Game Pass at the time of release. Furthermore, Microsoft’s involvement in the development is interpreted as a sign in the same direction.

Here’s what we know about ARK 2 gameplay scenes and trailers

Are there already trailers? In December 2020, Studio Wildcard released the announcement trailer for ARK 2. No other trailers are available at this time.

As soon as Studio Wildcard releases new trailers, they will be added to the list.

Is there gameplay to watch? Currently, there are no officially published gameplay scenes or even a gameplay trailer to see.

Speculations recently indicated the publication of gameplay scenes in the “Game Developer Conference 2022” (short: GDC 2022). The speculation was based on a tweet from a Studio Wildcard employee.

This tweet featured a photo of the GDC 2022 with the “ARK 2” booth. The booth contained a screen showing gameplay. However, this cannot be assigned to any game. It could also be the predecessor ARK: Survival Evolved.

Vin Diesel will executive produce ARK 2

What role does Vin Diesel play? Actor and producer Vin Diesel is a big ARK fan. At Studio Wildcard, he is a member of the production team as President of Creative Convergence and an Executive Producer.

In ARK 2, Vin Diesel takes on the role of the entirely remade hero protagonist, Santiago da Costa. Many ARK: Survival Evolved players are familiar with the character of Santiago through the content updates. 

Pre-order of ARK 2 Game

When can I pre-order ARK 2? It is currently impossible to pre-order ARK 2, nor is it known when it will start. It is conceivable that the pre-order will begin simultaneously with releasing a gameplay trailer.
