LATEST NEWS: Ferrari Hublot eSport Series Announced
The first season of the “Ferrari Hublot Esports Series” is accelerating on the starting grid. Ferrari is organizing the new GT Esports championship in Europe on the “Assetto Corsa” software platform developed by Kunos Simulazioni. Esports pilots will fight in various competitions aboard the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, which is made available exclusively to participants.
Pre-registration opens on Monday, August 7, and will be reserved exclusively for European citizens 18 years of age or older. Sim runners must register, completely free, on the website www.ferrariesportsseries.gg. The first round of the championship qualifies for the AM series starting in September. The winners of this will join sim riders invited by Ferrari to the PRO Series, a category with 24 Esports drivers who will compete on the same circuits as their AM counterparts. The 12 fastest drivers in each category to emerge from the four October races will advance to the final in November, when the overall winner will be decided in three runs.
The winner’s prize is a real dream come true – the overall champion will have a chance to join the FDA’s Hublot Esports team for next season. Said team currently has the current F1 Esports Drivers champion, Tonizza, and Enzo Bonito, a highly experienced simulation driver. Charles Leclerc, championship ambassador and a great admirer of Esports, will carefully follow all the stages and offer participants advice based on his experience as a real and Esports rider.
The leading partner of the series is Hublot; therefore, it expands its collaboration with Ferrari in the world of electronic sports. The technical partner is Thrustmaster, who already has Ferrari-licensed steering wheels and controllers for PC platforms and consoles.
