Mario Kart Mobile Game Finally Getting Real-Time Multiplayer

As Nintendo reports, the highly anticipated Mario Kart Tour multiplayer mode is finally coming to our iOS and Android smartphones. The free update is announced on March 9 and enables real-time multiplayer races. So you can finally compete against friends and other players from all over the world on your smartphone. The update should be played out the following Monday morning at 4 a.m.

In the new real-time multiplayer mode, Mario Kart fans experience so-called standard races against rivals from all over the world. The rules change daily. So it should always be varied.display

With the update you can create a virtual multiplayer lobby. There you will find friends who are very close and can compete against each other immediately. All that needs to be done is to activate the location services in the security settings.

The Gold Race mode is only available to subscribers to the Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass (5.49 euros per month). This unlocks the 200 cc mode for higher speed and even more action. You can also collect a lot of karts and gliders from, for example: Mario, Donkey Kong, Princess Peach or Yoshi.

Game fans can choose which drivers use which vehicles to chase them across the many colorful slopes. You will experience new challenges on classic Mario Kart tracks. There are also special race tracks through well-known cities that are only available for a limited time, seasonal events, public holidays and much more. In addition, every event offers the opportunity to expand its collections with rare variants of drivers, karts and gliders.

If you want to play Mario Kart Tour, all you need is a Nintendo account, a permanent online connection and a compatible smartphone or tablet. The in-game registration card is available when you link to your Nintendo Account. Players who do not have a Nintendo Account can create one for free on the Nintendo registration page.
