A person familiar with the matter said that Microsoft may complete the development of Windows 10 2004 in December, and the final version may be released to Insiders in December, and then test the Windows 10 20H1 preview version through the low-speed update channel for up to three months, at the same time , The next feature update may be signed in December. In 2020, Microsoft will begin offering users Windows 10 version 2004 in the Release Preview channel for additional testing to ensure the quality of these builds and contain fewer key errors.

There have been previous reports that Microsoft is considering a new development cycle for Windows 10. As part of the new development cycle, future Windows 10 20H1 updates will be released in December 2019 RTM, March / April 2020, while H2 updates will be completed in June and released in October.

Unlike the November update, Windows 10 v2004 includes many new features, including cloud recovery, Cortana, a Windows Update bandwidth limit, faster Windows Search, task manager enhancements, overall performance improvements, and more.

Microsoft is also preparing for work after the Windows 10 20H1 update is complete. Microsoft has previously stated that Fast Ring will switch to “RS_PRERELEASE development” and the 20H2 preview version will soon be delivered to testers.

Windows 10 20H2 is also expected to be a major release with new features and significant improvements.
