Resident Evil Village: How to Transfer Save from PS4 to PS5
Xbox makes it very easy with Smart Delivery and its cloud stores, but PlayStation never makes it too easy when it comes to that. Instead of transferring the saves regardless of the platform you are playing on, you have to manually import our saves to PS5.
Fortunately, for those of you who have already played Resident Evil Village on PS4 and finally got a PS5 after launch and want to transfer your save instead of starting over, you don’t have to do too much.
At the beginning your game must of course be saved on the PS4 version with your PSN name. After saving the broadcast that you want to broadcast, go to the game’s title screen on PS4 and select Options. Go to Upload Saved Data and it will be uploaded to the servers. Now it’s time to upgrade to the PS5 version of Resident Evil Village.
Once you get to the game’s title screen on PS5, you’ll need to scroll down to Options and select it like you did on PS4. Then on that new screen, scroll down to the Download Saved Data option and select it. When you do, you’ll connect to the network, download your existing game saves from PS4 and bring them into the game for you to use on PS5. If you can’t find your storage, you’ll need to go back to the PS4, make sure they were uploaded correctly, and try again.
