Destiny 2 Patch Update 2.8.0.2 Announced – Server Down 31st March

Bungie has announced the next Destiny 2 update. We have all the information about the update and the server downtime on March 31st, 2020.

The Destiny 2 Update 2.8.0.2 Tomorrow, published March 31st. To apply the update, the Destiny 2 servers will be offline, and maintenance work will be carried out.

At the moment we do not know whether it will be a pure server update or whether we also have to download a patch. This would be Client Patch 1.48 on the PS4.

This update will patch the game to version Update 2.6.1. It is the official patch that brings Shadowkeep live on all platforms, including PS4, Xbox One and PC. Destiny 2 Update 1.43 is now available for download for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is updated to version 2.6.1 with this update. The update size is 1.3GB

Destiny 2 Server Down on March 31st

  • 18:00 – Destiny 2 is waiting for Hotfix 2.8.0.2. Some Destiny API features on Bungie.net, mobile apps, and third-party apps are disabled.
  • 6:45 p.m. – Destiny 2 goes offline for expected maintenance. Hotfix 2.8.0.2 will be introduced on all platforms and regions at 7:00 p.m.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to be completed. Console players who are having trouble upgrading to hotfix 2.8.0.2 should restart their console and try to download the update.
